KMC Guidelines for Avalanche Safety
The recent tragic avalanches in our region and this year’s complex snowpack are a reminder to review the KMC Guidelines for Avalanche Safety. These guidelines were developed in 2021 by the Avalanche Guidelines Committee (Etter/Oostlander/Mitchell) and ratified by the KMC executive. They represent a reasonable and practical approach to ensuring safety on KMC winter trips. Safe travels.
