General Hut Etiquette
- An online reservation is required to stay at any of the Bonnington Cabins. Book carefully. There are NO REFUNDS, cancellations or date transfers
- Check in is 2pm, check out is noon. Please ensure that your gear is removed to a staging area and the cabin is clean for incoming guests
- Carry your reservation with you and make room for a KMC caretaker should they arrive during your stay
- Keep stairs and decks snow free, use plastic shovels only
- Pack out everything you pack in, this includes garbage, cans, food, drink and propane cylinders
- Absolutely NO candles or gas lanterns
- Do not repair, alter or modify any part of this structure for any reason. No nails or screws. Please email huts with concerns or suggestions
- Never split wood or kindling in the hut or on the decks, use the woodshed
- Fill the wood rack the night before your departure with kindling, 2” and 4” firewood so that it is warming and drying for the next fire
- Be conservative with the solar lighting (at select huts), please limit usage to a couple of hours in the evening, supplement with headlamps or LED lights
- Sign the logbook, we enjoy reading back on the good times and it helps us understand usage and demand
- Report any damage, malfunction or supply shortage to huts, do not attempt to repair or remedy
- For the enjoyment of all, Grassy will not permit dogs in the cabin
- Please store food, dishes etc in the appropriate lockers, drawers etc. inside the cabin
- Keep the hut tidy as you go, clean up standing water on the floor and counters promptly. See the departure checklist when you’re heading out.
- The area around Grassy (up to the ridge) is a legally established (Province of BC) non-motorized zone. Reports of motorized use in this zone can be made to huts (email). Photos are welcome.
- Make it a practice to leave the cabins in better condition than you found them.
- Report any damage or issues to the huts director as soon as possible.
Hut Bookings
